You should choose me because I witnessed the power of breast cancer first hand. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000 and spent several months in treatment. It was found early and can thankfully now be counted among the survivors of this terrible disease. I believe that the Susan. G. Komen foundation has made remarkable strides towards finding a cure. Through events like the 3 Day, awareness has been raised and, as a result, many people are able to fight breast cancer. I attribute my mother’s present health to this foundation who has not remained silent about the devastation of breast caner. They have spread the word on the importance of mammograms and self checking. They have done so much, but still have so far to go until a cure can be found. Please help me raise the money so that I can participate in this walk and continue to do my part to raise awareness and find a cure. No one should have to lose a loved one to this disease.
